- Where
- Northridge, Lassen St
- Roof
- Tile over a 1970s tract home
- Why they called
- 9:40pm in a January storm. Water coming through a light fitting.
- What we found
- Wind had lifted three ridge tiles. With the ridge open the whole hip was funnelling water straight into the ceiling cavity.
- What we did
- Tarped the hip that night and pulled the ceiling access to get the water out before it hit the insulation. Returned at first light, re-bedded the ridge and replaced the two cracked tiles.
Moisture readings taken at 11pm and again at 48 hours. The drywall dried out and did not need replacing.
What is actually included
Every one of these is in the written price. None of it is an extra.
Before you call
Yes, and that is often the best time to find it. We work safely — if the roof is not walkable in the weather we manage it from inside and return at first light.
Move what you can, put a bucket under it, and if the ceiling is bulging, pierce it in one spot to let the water out. A controlled hole beats a collapsed ceiling.
Sudden storm damage usually. Long-term wear usually not. We document it either way so your adjuster has the facts.
The call-out is credited against the permanent repair if you go ahead with us.
Free, within 48 hours.
Got it — we’ll call you today.
Someone from the crew will ring the number you gave us, usually within a couple of hours. If it is an active leak and you would rather not wait, call (818) 555-0132 now.
